BIRTH INJURIES
Doctors, nurses and other medical personnel are held to a very high standard when providing childbirth services. Most caregivers are dedicated and careful, but when there is a failure to use the appropriate standard of care that results in a baby being injured during childbirth, you have right to sue the culprits. Birth injuries can cause disabilities that last for life that can be very expensive for parents, so it is prudent in these cases to make sure that funds are available for this care. SPORTS ACCIDENTS
Most parents encourage their children to participate in sports because it is good for their health and also teaches discipline and many other life lessons. It is the responsibility of schools, leagues and coaches to make sure that children wear proper protective gear, play on an appropriate court, field or gym and that the children respect each other. If a child a child athlete is seriously injured it could mean the loss of a scholarship or other opportunities. You owe it to your child to make sure they are compensated for their loss.
BULLYING
Children cannot learn in a hostile environment. Victims of bullying can suffer from depression, anxiety or even become suicidal. Federal and New York law places the burden on schools to investigate and eradicate all bullying, and there are severe legal penalties for schools that do not. SWIMMING ACCIDENTS
Drowning remains a leading cause of death for young children. Owners and operators of swimming pools and beaches have a duty to keep children safe, and when they breach that duty, they are liable for the injuries that result.
